Cabbage Matar — homemade Indian dish from The Curry Creations, New Jersey

What is Cabbage Matar?

Cabbage matar is cabbage and sweet green peas stir-fried with cumin, turmeric and a hint of ginger. It's a light, everyday sabzi that Indian home cooks make in minutes, and it shows how good simple vegetables can taste with the right spices.

It's one of the most-ordered vegetable dishes at The Curry Creations, often chosen as a lighter dish alongside a richer curry.

Cooked in 100% olive oil

Never vegetable oil or palm oil. No preservatives, no artificial colours.

Best served with

Warm roti, available as a side with your weekly order. It also pairs well with a dal or a richer curry from the same week's menu.

Allergens

No added nuts or sesame. Our kitchen also handles nuts, sesame and dairy, so please message us about any allergy before ordering.

Storage & heating

Keeps up to 5 days in the fridge or up to 5 weeks frozen on the day of delivery. Containers are not microwave-safe — heat in a pan or on a plate.

How we cook our Cabbage Matar

We stir-fry shredded cabbage and peas with cumin, turmeric and ginger until just tender.

Like every dish from our kitchen, it's cooked in 100% olive oil with no preservatives, packed hot into a 16 oz biodegradable container, and delivered the same weekend it's cooked.
