Egg Biryani — homemade Indian dish from The Curry Creations, New Jersey

What is Egg Biryani?

Egg biryani is basmati rice cooked with biryani masala, caramelised onions and spiced hard-boiled eggs, so every grain carries the flavour of the spices. It's a one-pot meal, filling on its own, and a favourite for anyone who wants biryani without meat.

It's one of the most-ordered dishes at The Curry Creations.

Cooked in 100% olive oil

Never vegetable oil or palm oil. No preservatives, no artificial colours.

Best served with

It's a complete meal on its own. If you'd like something alongside, a plain dal or a lightly spiced vegetable dish from the same week's menu goes well.

Allergens

No added nuts or sesame. Our kitchen also handles nuts, sesame and dairy, so please message us about any allergy before ordering.

Storage & heating

Keeps up to 5 days in the fridge or up to 5 weeks frozen on the day of delivery. Containers are not microwave-safe — heat in a pan or on a plate.

How we cook our Egg Biryani

We cook fragrant basmati rice with caramelised onions and our biryani masala, then layer it with hard-boiled eggs that have been cooked in the spices.

Like every dish from our kitchen, it's cooked in 100% olive oil with no preservatives, packed hot into a 16 oz biodegradable container, and delivered the same weekend it's cooked.

Egg Biryani — FAQs

Is egg biryani vegetarian? +
No. It contains eggs, so we list it as non-vegetarian. If you're vegetarian, look for the vegetable, dal and paneer dishes on our weekly menu.
Is egg biryani a full meal? +
Yes. It combines rice, eggs and spices in one dish, so most people eat it as a complete meal without a side.
How do I reheat biryani without drying it out? +
Sprinkle a little water over the rice and heat it covered in a pan on low, or on a plate covered with another plate. Our containers aren't microwave-safe, so transfer it first. It keeps up to 5 days in the fridge.
